Ahh... Venice

After resting up in Amsterdam we were finally off to Venice.  Back to Schiphol airport, another security check and a quick flight into Marco Polo.  This was my first departure from an airport the size of Schophol.  The normal routine would be that you taxi out to the runway and are airborne within a few minutes.  At Schophol, some of the runways are quite a distance from the terminals.  It was probably a good 30 minute taxi out into the farmland, crossing highways and passing livestock on the way.  While it was quite scenic, there was some rumblings amongst the other passengers about driving all the way to Venice.  We finally took off and after a short flight over the Dolomites, we dropped into Venice.  Marco Polo airport is small so we quickly found the bus terminal and got our tickets for the ride to Piazzale Roma.  It was a beautiful day, although a little warm for how we were dressed coming from drizzly Amsterdam.  We quickly got our bearings and set out in the general direction of our hotel.  We were booked at Domina Home Ca'Zusto, less than a kilometer from Piazzale Roma.  Here we are fresh off the bus from the airport, taking a brief respite before trying to find our room.  The whole Venice gallery can be found here Travel Blog: Venice
